Handling a Claim Alone
It may seem like a good idea to go directly to the insurance company yourself. While the paperwork for a claim can indeed by tricky, confusing and just cumbersome at times, you need a lot more assistance than someone to simply fill in the forms and send it off to the insurance company.
Furthermore, claim management companies aren’t a good solution to your needs because you will have to pay them no matter what the outcome of your claim. Even if your claim is officially refused, you will have to pay the claim management company for doing its job and filling out your paperwork.
The Best Way to Handle a Claim
Hiring a Solicitor with a long history of successful settlements in whiplash accident compensation claims is the best way to deal with the issue. They too will fill out all of the necessary paperwork, but they will know exactly should be included in your compensation claim and make sure you have the documents you require.
If you choose your Solicitor wisely, you won’t have to pay any fees at all. If you don’t win a settlement you will not get charged for the time spent in claiming for whiplash. If you do win, you get 100% of the settlement amount. The Solicitor gets their fees in a separate settlement from the insurance company. So, it makes no sense to even try to deal with obstinate insurance companies on your own for a settlement.
